Wounded Warrior Welcome

Anxiously, sixty to seventy folks waited at the airport for a young man hit by a suicide bomber, Sgt. Dustin Hill. Dusty lost one eye, one ear, both hands and was severely burned but never lost that infectious spirit which was displayed as he smiled and greeted everyone.

He and Julie Mogenis, The Huntin Judge, a retired judge from Hunt, TX who has her own television hunting show, was headed to Estelline, TX for a deer hunt. Dusty was given a Challenge Coin, handmade quilt, a free steak dinner and Hard CORE M/M’s wounded warrior, Sgt. Rock (Rev. Stephen Walker) offered a prayer.

Then Dusty made his way down the flag line where there was folks holding banners, CHURCHES OF AMERICA THANK YOU and AMERICA SUPPORTS YOU, along with both small and large American flags and a lot of hugs.

After a short television interview Hard CORE M/M and VFW Post 1475 on motorcycles escorted America Supports You vehicle to Claude, TX where Mission:M25 bought hamburgers and fixins for everyone. When Dusty was told the churches in America gave to buy this meal, there was a quick setback and then he responded, ‘you tell them thank you for me’. It appeared that was a new one for this great American Hero. Even though the temperature was in the mid twenty’s, there was a warm spirit abounding for the honor, for which there are no words, to greet and escort this young man.
