This week ended with a welcome home of the 1222nd Engineering Sapper company. The company has come home after a year long tour of duty in Afghanistan. There were a great number to welcome these soldiers back.
As I watched that number a little guy caught my eye. He was about three waiting patiently for daddy to come through the doors. He was dressed in his little camouflage uniform with hat and boots. He looked like a little Drill Sgt. his hands at his back waiting for his hero.
After the ceremony there was a young soldier reunited with his family. As I again watched this family this daddy standing there holding a two year old on his right hip and his two month old in his left arm. He had one of the biggest smiles a man can have. He glowed with joy that only a soldier knows.
As I got back on my bike I could only think “today is a good and God-given day.”

Gary i love what God is doing in your life and M25. And that you are allowing Pastor Billy and myself to be a part of it.Did not get to make the run due to accident, but listening to Billy as he pured out his heart about the mission. Makes me want to tell the churches of America come on we can do even more.
