On July 16, 2011, Mission:M25 Director, Gary Burd, presented the Mission: M25 story at the United Methodist Church, Weddington, North Carolina (Charlotte). Joining him were Upper South Carolina Pointman, Pastor Billy Pinson, and M25 Members, Gail Glick (Belton, SC), Daniel Bigham (Monroe, NC) and Siler City M25 riders, Razor, Ghost and Wishbone. It was the Weddington UMC’s monthly Men’s Ministry meeting, but there were a couple of ladies present.
The church hosted the event with biscuits and sausage before the meeting and hamburgers and hot dogs with all the ‘fixins’ following. The meeting was hosted by Scott Willie of the church. Gary was given the entire time to speak to the group covering the heart of Mission:M25 in its daily endeavors, then he spoke on Run For The Wall USA and Israel. There was a lot of interest in the Israel trip and coming to Amarillo for the National Summit.
Mission:M25 is broadening its efforts to motivate churches – IPHC or other – to get outside the four walls of the church and to develop these national and international trips.
