Mission:M25 and Hard C.O.R.E Motorcycle Ministry Strong in Goldsboro, NC
The Mission:M25 and Hard CORE motorcycle ministry chapter at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro, NC had the honor of hosting the 2nd Annual Jacob’s Run fundraising event on Saturday, September 15. Jacob’s Run honors Jacob Allen Floars, the late son of M25 chapter members Allen and Catherine Floars and benefits the Vidant Children’s Hospital in Greenville, NC. This year’s event raised over $14,000.00!
Jacob’s Run featured a ride with over 300 motorcycles through eastern North Carolina, chili cook off, car show, live music from southern rock cover band Haywire and Christian singer Rod Propes, highlighted by a gospel message from John Rasmason (aka Ox)…all taking place in the shadow of the steeple of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Perhaps it is quite a risk to bring in a secular cover band and have over 300 motorcycles in the parking lot of a church…yes it is. However, in order to be the hands and feet of Jesus, you must make yourself available. The Bible says in Matthew Chapter 10 to be wise as serpents but harmless as doves. With that, we gain access into lives we may never be open to with conventional ministry.
The weekend was capped off with two great messages from Pastor Mark Richardson, lead pastor of the Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church and M25 point man for the Cornerstone Conference.
The Mission:M25 and Hard CORE ministries of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church are grateful for this and other opportunities to share the goodness and grace of Jesus Christ.
