Run to the Wall Israel Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – October 20 – Monday: USA – Tel Aviv
Day 2 – October 21 – Tuesday: Arrival – Netanya Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv. You will be met and assisted at the airport by a Coral Travel & Tours’ representative inside the terminal. Transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Netanya. After dinner briefing at the hotel for the next day’s itinerary.
Day 3 – October 22 – Wednesday: Netanya – Ashdod After breakfast the bikers will drive to pick up their motorcycles from the port of Ashdod. They will then drive south in order to practice driving in Israel and return to Netanya. The rest of the group will have a free day in Netanya. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Netanya.
Day 4 – October 23 – Thursday: Caesarea – Mt. Carmel – Megiddo – Tiberias This morning drive along the Mediterranean coast to Caesarea, the seat of the Roman Procurator of Judea at the time of Christ, and the site where Peter converted the centurion Cornelius. This fortified harbor city was built 2000 years ago by King Herod the Great. View the ruins of Roman, Byzantine and Crusader times. Explore the Roman Theater and the Aqueducts. A drive up Mt. Carmel will bring us to the site where Elijah challenged and defeated the 450 prophets of Baal. On our way to Tiberias we will pass Nazareth the home of Mary and Joseph & Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed his first miracle: turning jars of water into wine. Continue via Golani Junction and Yavniel to the Sea of Galilee. Dinner and overnight: Hotel/Kibbutz Guest House near the Sea of Galilee.
Day 5 – October 24 – Friday: Golan Height – Sea of Galilee
The day begins with a drive to the Golan Heights for a visit to an Armor Base. Via a ride through the Golan Heights, stop at Mt. Bental for a panoramic view. Visit Caesarea Philippi, where Peter made his confession of faith to Jesus. End the day with a visit to the Mt. of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount. Dinner and overnight: Hotel/Kibbutz Guest House near the Sea of Galilee.
Day 6 – October 25 – Saturday: Sea of Galilee – Gesher
This morning drive to Kibbutz Ginossar and visit the “Ancient Boat” believed to be from the time of Jesus. Continue to Capernaum, the town where Jesus made his home after leaving Nazareth. View the remains of the ancient synagogue, in which he may have preached, and the house of Peter. Continue to Kibbutz Gesher. Visit Old Gesher and the bridges. End your day at Yardenit with an opportunity to be baptized (optional). Dinner and overnight: Hotel/Kibbutz Guest House near the Sea of Galilee.
Day 7 – October 26 – Sunday: Bet She’an – Tel Aviv – Latrun – Jerusalem
The day starts with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Depart the Sea of Galilee. Stop at Golani Junction for Tree Planting. Drive to Megiddo, the Fortress City of King Solomon, later built again by King Ahab. The books of Daniel and Revelation will come alive as we study about the final Battle of Armageddon while viewing the Plains of Jezreel. Ride in the special convoy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem with a stop at Latrun, the Armor Corps museum. End your day at the Western Wall, last remnant of the second Jewish Temple during the time of Jesus. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Jerusalem.
Day 8 – October 27 – Monday: Jerusalem
After breakfast we will ascend the Mount of Olives (Matthew 24:3, Luke 21:37) for a breathtaking panoramic view of the old city of Jerusalem. Walk along the Palm Sunday Way to the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-46, Luke 22:39-45, Mark 14:32 -42) where Jesus spent the last night before he was arrested. Drive along the “Last Way” to Mt. Zion. Cross the Kidron Valley and see the Tombs Absalom, Zachary and James. Drive to Mount Zion and visit the house of the High Priest Caiaphas and the Church of Peter in Gallicantu (Matthew 26:31-35). This is the place where Peter denied the Lord 3 times. Continue on to the Upper Room. In the afternoon, visit Yad Vashem, the National Holocaust Museum and shopping in the Old City. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Jerusalem.
Day 9 – October 28 – Tuesday: Jerusalem – Masada – Ein Gedi – Jerusalem
Early morning drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada. Ascend Masada by cable car. Masada is the site of the most dramatic act in Jewish History. Explore the ancient excavation of Herod’s Palaces, the bathhouse, the storerooms, the Ramp, and the oldest Synagogue in the world. Continue on to Ein Gedi, an Oasis on the Dead Sea shore. Near the 200 meter high waterfall is a cave where David had his famous meeting with King Saul (First Samuel 24: 1-23). A walk around the reservation confirms that Ein Gedi is one of the most beautiful reservations in the world. Return to your hotel in Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight: Hotel in Jerusalem.
Day 10 – October 29 – Wednesday: Beer Sheba – Sderot – Ashdod – Jerusalem – Departure
After breakfast drive to Beer Sheba, the capital of the Negev Desert. Continue to the city of Sderot for a visit and presentation. Return to the Port of Ashdod, where you will leave your motorcycles for return shipment. Drive back to Jerusalem and end your touring day with a service at the Garden Tomb. Late check out from the hotel. Farewell dinner. Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the USA.
Day 11 – October 30 – Thursday: Tel Aviv – USA
Your flight departs around midnight. Arrive USA the same day.
