I received a call yesterday from the Assistant Route Leader of Run For The Wall, Southern Route – they asked if I would be the Senior Chaplain — this is something that is a very high honor and yet very humbling for me – seeing that I am a non-veteran. I accepted with deep appreciation for the opportunity.
This does several things for our efforts —
- To truly be in a better spot to bring to focus our deep appreciation to these men and women for our Freedom of Religion as a church. That has been my main objective from the beginning. Felt it was an assignment from the Lord.
- We will be able to position some M25 guys to help us accomplish this goal. We will be working with several of our guys to get them in places where we can serve – again – it is not a place to “preach”.
- Our National Biker Missionary will once again serve as Missing Man Chaplain
- Working on the Chaplain to head up the Chase Team
- Chaplains in Platoons and Hydration Trailer
- I have been in discussion with our IPHC missionary – Tim Moore. He has put in a request to do the run with us. This would be awesome seeing he is an active Chaplain. If he gets the orders okayed – I have asked him to speak in the Sunday morning service — He will have to write his sermon and submit it to JAG – once it is okayed – he will be able to speak in full dress uniform! This would be awesome — PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM TO FIND FAVOR (and pray that I will be able to find him a good Harley to ride across the country with us).
- We are in a secure spot for the continual Hydration Trailer ministry
- It is my opinion that we will be able to work in more info on our Campsite Ministry in DC
God has so honored our efforts over the past 5 years to be a light and not a mouth. God is teaching me much about Evangelism – Evangelism that does not turn people off and does not win a few but turn the multitude away.
Please do me one favor — the family I love dearly including my wife, the church I attempt to serve, the conference I attempt to lead are all getting a little weary of the schedule I am keeping — I am wired so that whatever I have to do – I will do to fulfill a mission once I feel my Commander (Jesus) has directed me to do – the fruit of our efforts has only fueled me to a higher level. PLEASE PRAY FOR THE RESOURCES TO COME IN WITHOUT ME TRAVELING 25,000 – 30,000 MILES TO GET ER DONE THIS YEAR. We really need $25,000 — last year we did not even make the $20,000.
