Day 4, RFTW 2010- Even the Winds Won’t Stop Us!

Blow wind blow — we rode 302 miles in wind that was unbelievable. It was so bad that at times we had to slow the bikes down so we could stay on the road. All that came across my mind was the night the Apostle Paul was on the windy sea. Reminding me that sometimes the Lord calms the wind and others He calms His child. The great thing – we have ridden over 1400 miles and not one wreck! God is certainly blessing us with safety – even though we have gone through some dangerous situations.

Commander David Moore is driving our Jeep and pulling our ‘Freedom Bike’ – an incredible witness tool for thankfulness. One side speaks of our Spiritual Freedom and the other side our National Freedom. He spoke tonight about sharing with three different individuals about our thanks for the National Freedom but the fact the Spiritual Freedom is very important.

Sgt. Rock had a blow out and did not get to ride today but he was blessed at the dealership. He was given the opportunity to share his testimony with two different individuals while waiting on the tire to be changed.

See the attached picture of the Indian Chief giving his blessing according to his beliefs during the morning session. It was awesome for our guys to show respect and courtesy to something that we do not agree with. We believe that is why those that do not believe as we do are respectful, doesn’t the Word say for us to plant what we want to harvest.

I was blessed to hold a woman in my arms that lost her husband in Viet Nam in 1972. She was still having difficulty bringing closure to the loss. As I prayed I stated, “Lord, don’t let the memories die but help her not to hurt when she remembers.” It was awesome as I felt the Love of Jesus touch her life – that is what this is all about for us. Bringing Jesus’ love into people’s lives that are hurting so bad is so important.

My prayer over and over today was “Lord we are so thankful that we are causing America to remember and as we do, some of the memories are becoming really fresh in some of these men and women. I ask you Lord to bring comfort and healing to those who are hurting today as we remember and as we get closer to the Wall”.

Finally, there is a picture of a gasoline stop. It takes less than 30 minutes to fill up approximately 400 motorcycles. It is a sight to behold.
