A Day of Prayer in North Carolina

Goldsboro, NC –  There was a special emphasis on Mission:M25 at Goldsboro First PHC on April 3, 2011, to focus on the many ministries they are involved in.
Highlighted was:

  • Prayer Shaw ministry for the nursing home – (handmade shaws to remind the elderly there are people praying for them)
  • Feeding of the homeless
  • Various jail / prison ministries
  • Escorts of fallen military and veterans
  • Welcoming home of soldiers (over 400 in 2010 and already this year just over 350)

Mission: M25 National Director, Gary Burd, then preached on raising up an army of people outside the four walls of the church. The second service was packed with many of the folks dressed in ‘leather’. The church served a prepared lunch for all in attendance which included guests from Cornerstone Conference and Redemption Ministries. Cornerstone Conference Pointman, Mark Richardson, brought 14 from his church in Siler City, NC.

To bring the day to a it’s highest point, local M25 Director, Gary Whaley, had police to escort us to Raleigh, NC where we held a prayer service for the state of North Carolina, including the governor and all of its leaders. A letter of proclamation and appreciation from the governor was read during the church service, *UPDATE* and Efton Sagar, from the State House of Representatives was also present.  It was just an awesome day for Mission:M25 and the First Church in Goldsboro, NC.

-Gary Burd
